Labor Doula

I have completed Labor & Birth Doula Training in May 2010. I have assisted in 4 births since completing my training. I am currently working towards my certification with DONA INT’L and a member since May 2010. I am on full time availability. My additional goals in my role as a Doula are to participate in a variety of birth experiences to learn from and share with my families and peers.
I am a native San Diegan. I have a son and 2 daughters and 8 grandchildren. Before becoming a Doula I have been fortunate to have assisted in more than a dozen births. Some were unmedicated, medicated, caesarean and high risk and some that were long and challenging.
I have known for many years that helping families have a positive birth experience is my "Passion". All expecting parents deserve to have the most positive birth experience possible. My contribution to help them achieve their goal is paramount. This goal also extends into the changes in the family dynamics when the family goes home. I am a woman who believes in empowering and supporting women during this special time in their lives so that the mother and her partner/family have a positive birth experience to remember.
